On the evening of 28 November 2024, at the opening ceremony of Dong Nai Culture – Tourism – Cuisine Week 2024, Lac Hong University achieved a remarkable accomplishment as its students won both highest prizes at the Dong Nai Tourism Presentation Contest 2024.

The contest, organized by the Dong Nai Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, attracted more than 60 contestants from educational institutions and related units across the province. This meaningful platform aimed to promote the beauty of Dong Nai tourism while providing young participants with an opportunity to demonstrate their talent, confidence, and in-depth understanding of the local culture and history.

Representing Lac Hong University in this contest were two students: Vo Thuy Van and Nguyen Thi Minh Thuy from class 22QD111, majoring in Tourism and Travel Management, The Faculty of Administration International Economics. Both contestants impressed the judging panel and the audience with inspiring and professional presentations. They not only demonstrated solid knowledge of Dong Nai’s prominent destinations but also made a strong impression through their confident demeanor, creative presentation skills, and engaging message delivery.

The journey to this success was not easy. Under the dedicated guidance of MB Pham Ngoc Hieu – lecturer of Tourism and Travel Management – the two students spent three months researching, practicing, and refining every detail of their performances. Their thorough preparation and close coordination between lecturer and students enabled them to continuously improve their skills and confidently enter the competition at their best performance.

As a result, Nguyen Thi Minh Thuy excellently won the First Prize, while Vo Thuy Van secured the Second Prize, affirming the position of Lac Hong University students in the field of tourism.

This achievement is not only a source of pride for the students but also clear evidence of the training quality of the Tourism and Travel Management program at Lac Hong University. It reflects systematic investment in the curriculum and the dedication of the academic staff in developing students’ professional competencies.

The double victory at the contest not only affirms the talent and creativity of Lac Hong University students but also enhances the University’s reputation in training high-quality human resources for the tourism sector, meeting the development demands of both the locality and the country.
